Grapple Loader
What type of oil should i use in an old farmhand f-11 loader? It is run by a PTO pump on an International 560?
Im not sure of the year of the loader, but its old. I don't know the brand of the pump, but it has an extender. The loader has 3 controls for up-down, tilt up-down, and grapple forks (which arent on at the moment). The pump leaks a little and the "oil tank" is empty.
***I know to obviously use hydraulic oil, i was just wondering if there was a specific number of hyd. oil to use.
any good hydraulic oil will work, actually any 40 weight motor will work but it's a lot more expensive, cheapest place to buy it would be a tractor dealer or heavy equipment shop, they sell in bulk and sell a lot of it so they can sell it cheaper than most part stores. actually some hydraulic systems call for synthetic motor oils, Yikes that sure runs a bill up in a hurry, but you dont need to worry about that, I think your going to have other issues to worry about.
